Publisher's Description:

3DWebButton - 3DWebButton is a PC-based software package that offers an easy-to-use, step-by-step approach to creating sophisticated 3D buttons and headings for use on Internet sites.

Very professional output can be quickly and easily produced by the most inexperienced non-graphics artist using this program. A preview of your work is continually displayed above each of the 11 steps, which allow you to set the button shape, color, texture map and other of more than 100 options available.

The button can be colored or textured using a bitmap image, then text extrusion, outline, and altitude specified, and an optional drop shadow included. You can drag and drop the light source around the button to change the intensity and direction of the illumination. Seven button shapes are available, as are the same options for text previously stated. Finally, interactively size the vertical and horizontal dimensions and choose from bmp, jpg, and gif image formats. NOTE: 3DWebButton does not infringe the Unisys copyright. You can freely publish gif images produced by the program.

Now with roll-over effects! The ability to create java-script roll-over effects has been added in the version 1.7.

No 3D acceleration hardware required. 3DWebButton uses it's own software rendering engine. The program does not require DirectX and OpenGL libraries.

??????? ?????? ????????

I downloaded the button makers, but haven't installed 2 of them, not sure if they are compatible with vista, there was nothing that I remember seeing about what opperating systems requirements. I like the looks of the vista buttons and they work well inside of the software but don't know how well they will export or if they can export out of the program in tact. This is a lot to pay out for not being able to check the functionality of the buttons.
You should have a link fixed in all exported buttons that if someone installs them on a web page without paying that all the buttons will take people to your site only. This way a person can see how well the buttons are can be installed on a web page and still be forced to buy the software before they can use it There are a lot of software that works perfect within it's own screen but the trouble comes when you take it out of it's environment and try to install it.
I bought a flash slide show maker because I could use it from beginning to end and even install it on a page, but it had a water mark through the middle of the screen until you pay. I used it, I liked it and I bought it, so I could get rid of the mark. I can't use these buttons to see if they work well outside of their environment, so it is a crap shoot on whether I will pay for the software or uninstall it.
I would buy it in a heart beat if I could see how they work on a web page. even though it is about $20.00 higher than most button makers. But as it is I may go for one of the cheaper button makers that have a fully functional trial period.
I used Dreamweaver for free for 30 days before I bought it and I built a full web site during that 30 days with it and it's still up and running www.parrot-bill.net and this was with the free trial offer. I also bought Photoshop element 5.0 & Premier Elements 3.0 this way, you really should trust people a little more. Sure some folks are going to take advantage of it, but anyone serious about the buttons will buy them if they can see how they work from beginning to end. Make it a 1 day trail offer, so the program shuts down after 1 days until they pay. I played around with it and like what it did within the program in 30 minutes the only thing that is holding me back from buying it, is that I am not sure how easy it is to export and install on a web page. Heck make it shut down after one export, folks should know by then whether they want it or not. But I think that most people (like me) have been burned a lot by bogus software that doesn't work, that they maybe hesitant of buying your software under these conditions especially at this price. I bought on button maker that gave out an html code to paste within the page, I followed the instructions (put my cuser where I wanted the buttons) and pasted in in code view and when I switch to display view all I saw was the html code. That was a wasted $25. bucks, but the buttons worked well in their own environment. It's tempting...you have some really nice looking buttons
